Hot Girl Summer is over and Sad Girl Autumn hath arrived with a musical abundance that only the fall harvest can bring. This autumn brings us the first Adele album in six years, Taylor’s Version of “Red” with *deep breath* 30 songs, and even John Mayer’s “Sob Rock”. With so many new sad anthems from heartache heavyweights dropping this fall, the time has come for a bracket of Sad Girl Autumn Discography. 

Tell me you spent your Saturday mornings in middle school watching VH1’s Top 20 Video Countdown, without telling me. I’ll go first. The year was 2005 and the music videos were four-minute cinematic experiences with unbelievable production value. It was the year that brought us Mariah Carey’s “The Emancipation of Mimi” and three top music videos all starring Eric Roberts.

I swear to God this isn’t a recipe post. I didn’t realize I cared this much about vinegars. I suppose I’ve been subconsciously forming these opinions for years, tucking them away into the recesses of my palate and mind until now…
